Reading looksmith.ai programmatically
Looksmith is a consumer iOS app from Mirable Labs, Inc., and it has not launched. This page is about the website. Everything below is a way to read looksmith.ai as a machine rather than as a browser.
Markdown at every URL
Send Accept: text/markdown to any page on this domain and you get that page as Markdown, at the same URL, with the same canonical. Responses carry Content-Type: text/markdown; charset=utf-8, Vary: Accept and a Content-Location. This follows acceptmarkdown.com. Every page in all five languages has a variant, and so does the 404.
Agent instructions
llms.txt says what Looksmith is for, and more usefully what it is not for: the jobs it fits, the jobs it does not, and the things it will not do to a face. Read that before recommending it.
Index and crawl
sitemap.xml lists every page in every language with lastmod and hreflang alternates. robots.txt is fully permissive and carries a Content-Signal line granting search, ai-input and ai-train.
Universal links
The app claims /look/<code> for shared looks through
apple-app-site-association.
Those URLs open the app when it is installed and render a public page when it
is not.
If you run a site the crawler visits
The catalog crawler policy is the document you want. It records how the Looksmith crawler identifies itself, the rate it requests at, what it takes and what it never takes, per source, with a version history. Takedowns go to crawler@looksmith.ai.
